Justin & Becky's 30th Birthday

Justin and Becky both turned 30 this week and what better way to celebrate than with kabobs, pinatas, a wicked game of monster volleyball, kids running around like crazy, a little water fight, bee stings and of course fireworks. I do have admit this was probably one of the funnest Meredith Family parties we've had in a long time.

Becky and Justin let all the kids have a turn at their pinata first and then Justin, being the gentleman that he is let Becky go next. Unfortunately Becky couldn't finish the pinata off, so Justin went to town and demolished the thing. Poor Becky was the hit by flying shrapnel/candy in the process.

After the kids figured out there was bubble gum in the pinata they all decided to see who could blow the biggest bubble. I don't think Aunt Evonne knew the competition she was up against.

After the bubble blowing contest, Caleb decided that it would be funny to come up and steal a huge bite of my cookie. So I showed him who was boss and soaked him with the hose. He came up and told me that he still loved me later that night. He'll learn, you don't mess with a Boulter in a water fight, you'll never win.

Julie bought all the kids little ball guns to play with. This would be Kyle sneaking up behind Caleb and Alexis, and all chaos was about to begin.

Alexis decided that if her 2 year old brother can ambush them, she is single handed going to take down the rest of the boys. You can see Caleb running away in the background and Zack about to get plummeted by her gun.

If you notice, this is really the only picture I have of Alexis from the party. She was having a rough night, with moments of fun here and there. But right after this little gun fight, the kids were playing on the rocks in the background and Alexis and Zack found a Yellow Jacket Nest. The next thing we know we hear Alexis screaming "Get It Off of Me!!!! It stings like hot Lava in my skin" followed shortly after by Zack screaming too. Come to find out Zack got stung on his ankle and Alexis got the brunt of the attack and was stung 7 times on her little arm. As you can imagine she wasn't in the picture taking mood the rest of the night.

After dinner we had a wicked game of Monster Volleyball. I do have to say this Volleyball and Net was the best $4.98 I've ever spent. The kids loved being able to play and not get hurt by the ball.

It never fails, whenever I want to try and get a cute picture of me and one of the kiddos, they decide to make silly faces. After about 5 tries Justin gave up. Oh well, at least I look cute in this picture.

Does anyone else see the uncanny Boulter resemblance in this picture? I'm not sure if its the super blonde hair, or the way his hair parted in the middle. I swear there is a picture of Brandon from my mom's wedding when he was about 4, that looks just like my little man. Kyle just needs a few more curls and we've got a miniature Boulter in the making.

The little kids found the suckers in the pinata and went to town. Alyda loved it and made such an adorable mess. How cute is that little face.?

Erik did an awesome job of lighting all the fireworks. The kids loved all of them. I joined in at the end when we were trying to get rid of about 100 sparklers. About 45 seconds before the rain started coming down Erik and I had at least 15 sparklers lit all at once and we were the only 2 holding them. How did that happen? I guess the kiddos got bored. (Thanks for the pic Becky)

It was a really fun night, Happy Birthday Justin and Becky!
