We definitely started the 4th of July weekend off off on the right foot by going boating, and we all had the sunburn to prove it . I love the lake and can't think of another place I would rather be. The kids loved it, ok...Alexis loved everything about it, and Kyle loved it, as long as he wasn't in the water??? Don't ask, I'm sure he'll be over that by next summer, at least that is our goal.

He did LOVE listening to my IPOD, in fact he listened to it for almost an hour. Who knew that's all a two year old needed to sit still was some awesome tunes. That information could have come in handy the past few months.

This is one stylish little sandy girl.

Alexis had so much fun riding on the molecule and rode it more times than I can count. The best was when her and Caleb were riding it together and she was telling Uncle Adam to go faster and Caleb was screaming for his Dad to slow down. Isn't it usually the boy who is the crazy adventurous one? I love it, that's my girl.

How could I not include this picture of our little MerMan? Zack is seriously the most photogenic little boy I've ever met. He loves getting his picture taken and is up for just about anything I ask him to do.

On the 4th of July we were all so sunburned and sore that we literally just laid around all day long. Thankfully my mom and Allen decided to come up and entertain the kids, well Alexis, with fireworks. Kyle on the other hand was so excited and after the first firework went off, he was out of there and didn't want anything to do with them. (We'll have to work on that one for next year too.)

Last week it was so windy we decided to try and fly our kites, and thanks to Justin's hard work he got them to fly...But by the time he did, Alexis was over the whole kite flying idea. Our cute neighbor Ryker came over and decided he'd fly it for her since she was being onry. .JPG)

Last night we went to Alyda's 1st birthday party, and I honestly can't think of a better way to start off the weekend. I mean really, what's better than a Friday night, swimming, an adorable one year old and chocolate ice cream with gummy bears? Not much.

This is Alexis' "Mom, is it OK to jump in by myself" look. I really didn't think she would do it, she never has before. But...
before I could say anything, she was off. I honestly couldn't believe she jumped in all by herself. I guess those swimming lessons this year have really paid off.
Kyle even decided to try out his mad jumping skills. His new thing to do before he jumps off of anything is to yell "to infinity and beyond" and throw his arms up in the arm. I think we may need to cut back on the Buzz movie watching time.
It seems like we are constantly doing something and keeping ourselves crazy busy this summer. This week is no exception...Justin and Becky only have a few more days left in their 20's, so I'm sure I'll have some great pics from their party this weekend.
