The Almost Perfect FALL weekend

So I think Mother Nature decided to be nice to me and give me at least one truly perfect Fall weekend. Alexis has been so concerned that it was almost Halloween and we still didn't have a pumpkin, so we made her weekend and went to the Pumpkin Patch.

She fell in love with these "cute little baby pumpkins", honestly we could have left before we even walked past the front entrance and she would have been happy.

BUT---Justin had to find the "perfect" pumpkin to carve, and the little baby ones just wouldn't cut it. I never knew someone could be so "OCD" about a pumpkin, but it has to be perfectly round, sit at an exact angle and have the perfect stalk on top.

Thankfully Kyle didn't care what pumpkin he got, he just wanted to throw the pumpkins on the ground because they were taking his seat in the wheelbarrow. Note to self: Never take a sleeping toddler out of the car to look at pumpkins-it does not make for good picture taking.

This weekend would have been perfect, except my sweet little girl has been so sick. She spiked a fever of 102.8 on Wednesday and has been pretty out of it since then. Yesterday was the first day her temperature did not go above 100, the poor little thing just lays around and has had about 15 baths in 4 days (this is the only way we could keep the fever manageable) She was determined to go to the pumpkin patch on Saturday, but after we got home I was making lunch and turned around to see this. I guess maybe she wasn't feeling as good as we thought she was. Today she is doing much better.

Since Alexis was not awake to want to watch cartoons, Justin and Kyle spent most of Saturday like this. I just have to shake my head-I truly think I have a minature gamer on my hands. He loves the X-box controller and gets really mad at you if you stand in front of him or distract him from "playing". OH dear-what am I going to do with him? He is going to be just like his Dad.
