Just a little shopping

I guess now that I'm more than a couple weeks past my half way point (since I never acutally gone more than 36 weeks) I've had to huge urge to get my nursery put together and to buy a couple of things.

Like this:
We lucked out with Alexis and were given an awesome swing and by the time we had Kyle we were pushing it to last, so we had to splurge and get us a new one.  I love how soft this swing is and that it swings side to side, not front and back).
Natalie got me hooked on her Sit and Stand stroller last year when we borrowed it to go to Disneyland, and both my kids love it, so we'll definitely be breaking this in before the baby comes.

This is the coolest montior, and it also has a light sensor that goes on when the baby cries, so you can actually see when you go check on them. (We were also given a monitor from the same person that gave us the swing, and that thing saw its last day right after Kyle was born).

I can't wait to be able to have that fresh baby smell back.  I still use baby lotion on both Alexis and Kyle, but it just doesn't smell the same.

This has to be the coolest diaper caddy ever. It has a place for diapers, wipes and a drawer for all the creams, powders and binki storage. LOVE IT! Plus its totally my nursery colors-brown, sage green and pink.

You'd think that I'd never had a kid before, with all stuff I've had to buy. But when you have a baby as sick as Kyle and pregnancies has hard has mine, and you decide that you're finished you give away a lot of things that you think you'll never need again, and then all of a sudden you have a little surprise and have to start all over. Thankfully I didn't get rid of any clothes, so we're good there. That's ok, I'm sure someone in my family will be able to use all this stuff in a couple of years.

Oh, and I might of splurged a little and bought me my a new lens for my camera.  I cannot wait, I've seriously been asking Justin to get this for me for every birthday, mothers day, anniversary and Christmas for two years.  To my surprise I was browsing the internet and found out they just came out with a newer 1.4 aperature lens, so the 1.8 has dropped by more than $200. Sold!!! I can't wait for this to arrive on Tuesday.

oh, and this lens hood too. Seriously cannot wait!!! I just found out about a fun location out by antelope island, so my kiddos are going to be my test subjects next weekend.

This would be Justin's one splurge item. He hates our mattress, and it is 12 years old, so its getting pretty hard. Because of where I work, I used a couple of my conections and got the most amazing deal ever. It was almost too good to pass up. I was able to buy it directly from the manufacturer and got it for about 65% of the cost you would pay at the store. It will be so nice to have a new mattress this weekend.

The biggest purchase, that we get to take home tonight, would be this little baby.  Ours is a dark crimson, not blue, but its fully loaded and we got a killer deal. I'm so sad to lose my Mazda, but there was no way in the world I was going to squeeze three car seats into that backseat everyday.  Plus my kids love that there is a DVD system and magic doors-or keyless entry. I always vowed that I would never own a minivan, but realistically there aren't a lot of SUV's with third row seating in our price range, and surprisingly enough three car seats don't fit all that well in a normal mid-sized SUV. So I'll have to deal with this for a few years. But that's ok, its growing on me more and more.  I figure that by the time Kyle gets in school full-time we'll only have one kid in daycare and we can afford a sweeter ride.

I almost forgot about this...we are finally getting our curbing laid tomorrow, and we will proabably get a couple of trees in the next few weeks to help shade our huge backyard. But the rest of the landscaping is waiting until next summer when I'm not pregnant. We're determined to get our grass thicker this year and then make our backyard pretty.

Do you think I've spent enough money this week? My checking account says YES! Thankfully we've been saving for a while because we knew we had a ton of stuff to get.  Pretty much all I left to buy for this baby is paint for her room, I just have to decide on the shade of pink and brown I'm going to use. I'm sure that will be done in the next couple of weeks.
