Wow, has this weekend flown by, but we had a ton of fun. First I was downloading pics from my camera and found these fun pictures from Disney on Ice. Alexis and I went with my best friend Ricki and her cute mom and little girls. I actually took half a day off work and went shopping with Ricki and her mom before I picked up the kiddos, then we met at Olive Garden for dinner and then had a ton of fun at Princess' on Ice, plus we had killer seats. It was such a fun day and night, and I love how much fun our girls have together. In fact we have hung out with Ricki and the girls so much the last two weeks, our girls are going bound to be best friends.
Whoa-I was actually in a picture this time. I guess that's what happens when you go with another mom that knows what it feels like to always be behind the camera.
On Friday, the kids and I put up all our Christmas decorations (minus the tree) while Justin went to Wyoming with his cousin Matt to pick up Cody in some cabin in the middle of nowhere. So we decided to wait for Dad to come home to put up the tree. On Saturday we finally got around to doing it and Alexis was literally jumping for joy, this little girl is in love with Christmas time and has been singing Christmas carols for the last three days. I love to walk into a room and here her cute voice. She was so excited that Aubrie came over just in time to help her put the ornaments on.
Kyle wasn't really sure what was going on, but he stayed by Justin's side the entire time. He wasn't too interested in putting ornaments on, but he did learn how to say Christmas tree and Santa Claus, in addition to learning how to kill mom with his light saber (yeah, he's a definitely a boy through and through-I have the bump on the back of my head to prove it-he learned his lesson after the 4th or 5th time of being in time out in less than 30 minutes).
I just love this picture, see-he can be cute and charming once and while.
While this little girl has been sweet and charming sense her meltdown on Thanksgiving. I think she finally figured out that she's going to be on the naughty list if she didn't start behaving. (Did I mention that we have been going through this super naughty, talking back phase-oh my goodness-I thought these kind of emotions/hormones didn't start until she was a teenager-I guess we were wrong with that one). But I do have to say Friday, Saturday and today have been wonderful, she has been so good and so polite, I almost wonder if we brought the right little girl home from our Thanksgiving party.
We have a super busy week ahead, I think it's just that time of the year. But we a dress rehearsal for her Cheer recital for 2 hours tomorrow, a bow making extravganza on Tuesday and what's sure to be a fun bbq with Jamie and Steph's family, a whole day off on Wednesday (so looking forward to another short week) and hopefully some cute grandkid photoshoots on Wednesday, and Friday is Alexis' rectial at the Festival of Trees. I do love this time of the year, thank goodness I got all my Christmas cards made today, and they are going in the mail tomorrow.
Just one last picture that made me smile. I actually found it on my point and shoot that I never use, and I think it is from the summer. But its still makes me smile, Kyle definitely is just like his Dad, but I do have to say I have the two cutest boys ever.
Alexis said that I need to be in more pictures, so she helped me take this one while Justin was decorating the tree. She thought my braid looked pretty stylish, and told me I was the best mom ever for letting us put our tree up right after Thanksgiving. Ahhh, she just melts my heart.
