Surviving the Holidays

We had a very fun and busy Christmas this year. The kids were spoiled rotten (again) but also had the time of their life.

On Christmas Eve we went to my Dad’s house and had a yummy ham dinner, decorated cookies, acted out the nativity and opened presents. Santa even dropped off some new pjs and slippers for the kids. Of course Alexis got High School Musical and Kyle was so excited to have Vroom, Vrooms (or Cars all over his jammies) and Elmo slippers.

Christmas morning we opened all the gifts Santa brought the kids. Alexis’ favorite was her new Littlest Pet Shop house and Kyle loved his Elmo boombox.

We spent the rest of the morning with the Meredith’s, where Kyle mauled Luke & Alyda, and Alexis was in heaven playing with her Caleb, Tasia and Zack

Thankfully one nice part about having kids is I can make Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Allen come to our house, so we spent the rest of the day at home playing with all the fun toys.

On Friday we went to St.George to have Christmas with Ty, Steph and McKadin. I honestly think Alexis was more excited to see McKadin then she was for Christmas. McKadin was so excited to see his LouLou and he finally got his light saber (which I don’t think it left his side the whole weekend).

Saturday we took the kids to Jumpin Jack and they went nuts. Kyle fell asleep on the way there and Grandpa Allen was nice enough to take a nap in the car with Kyle so we didn’t have to wake him up. Alexis loved that she got all of my attention the whole time we were there.

I am so thankful we made it down there and back safely the weather did not cooperate on Friday, but we had perfect blue skies on the drive home. I do have to say 45 degrees in St. George is A LOT warmer than 45 degrees in Salt Lake.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Years. Talk to you next year
