We met our sweet little Makenna for the very first time! I can’t BELIEVE she is a year old already-on one hand it seems like she just barely a new baby, on the other hand, it seems like she’s been with us forever. Looking back at some of her baby pictures bring back so many memories and it sort of makes me sad to know that she is my very last baby and somehow she is growing up quicker than any of my kiddos.

Kenna, Kenz, Kenzie, sissy, love bug, cutie pie…are just a few of the names she goes by (and if Justin had his way Mak, but I just see that one catching on since we already a Mckadin that everyone calls Mac, but we’ll see-I’ve noticed that her Grandpa Meredith is trying to get the Mak name to stick too-but I just don't think it's fits her, somehow it's just not feisty enough of a nickname for her).

this is usually how 80% of my pictures turn out now because the she cannot sit still for more than a minute, and now that she's walking she is way too busy exploring everything.
(side note...I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the way the girls skirts and shirts turned out, who would of know that I stayed up until 1am the night before her party sewing them)

Makenna is definitely our little feisty, stubborn child. She knows exactly what she wants and is not afraid to let you know. She is also our little water baby, and LOVES anything to do with water. In fact her latest word is “fish” and carries a little bath fish toy around everywhere. Kenz also loves to dance, she can be super fussy one minute and you turn music on or give her a toy that has music and instantly she is dancing up and down and has the biggest smile on her face.

seriously, I don't think they make cheeks chubbier than that

She started walking about a month ago (the earliest out of all my kids) and has instantly turned into a toddler that knows how to get into everything.

There was a point a couple years ago when I didn’t think I would have any more kids, but somehow this little girl snuck in there and was determined to get here whether I was ready for her or not. And I can’t even imagine my world without her now.

I love you baby girl, happy 1st birthday
xoxo
