the perfect weekend

It has taken me a week to get to recover from our vacation, but we had a much needed break from reality for a few days and we loved every minute of it. The first day we spent the day at the Main Street river park. I love that they have built this awesome river and splash park in the middle of the city, and the kids loved it.  I think Alexis loved being surrounded with girls the entire weekend and having Kyle outnumbered for once.

I love this picture I got of Halle right after she ran through a huge geyser of water. (I tried so many times to get one of Alexis and Kyle, but they had no interest whatsoever in taking pictures with me)

After the kids got all watered out, Nat and I took them on the carousel they have at the same park.  Did I tell you how much I love this new park?  It was a perfect day.

Later that night the girls decided they wanted to play in the pool some more, so we made our own little beach party and put the chairs in the pool to relax and chill until dinner was ready.

You won't believe what we did the next day...yep, the kids voted to go swimming AGAIN.

That night Halle and Taya wanted to show us a super cool tunnel by my grandpa's house. The kids thought the tunnel was so cool to run through and play in.

but I loved what a cool background it made, and had the perfect model to pose for me.

The kids loved wondering around the trails and were on a hunt for bunnies and lizards.

Alexis stole my camera for a few minutes on the walk and took the most adorable picture of Taya, I just love it. I think I may have a little photographer on my hands.

I should be thankful Alexis loves taking pictures now because it's the only way I get pictures to prove I was there too (sunburn and all).

This little squirt spent most of the time we were there out of the sun, but we managed to sneak her out a few times to play with the kids.

I absolutely needed this vacation and had a lot of fun catching up with Brandon and Nat and my cute Grandpa.  Sometimes I wish there were more jobs in St. George, because I would move down there in a heartbeat!!!

That sounds like a fun getaway. What happened to Mr. B's arm? Does he live with Brandon and Nat now? I remember our fun boat excursions back in the day :)
