Let's get bloggin'

Alright-I finally gave in. Katie has been pushing me to get a blog for so long and I just didn't need one more thing added to my plate. But I finally gave in. Are you happy Katie? I am actually really excited to be able to share what is going on in my life with all my friends and family, especially the ones that I don't get to see as much as I wish I could. I am also excited to have another way of showing off my family and all the crazy and out of the world things my daughter says.

Why not jump right into it. Alexis is 4 and has the biggest, most outrageous crush on Troy from HSM-he is "dreamy", just ask her. She wanted to watch "Hairspray" last night because her "mind couldn't stop thinking about him". We were about half way through the movie and she comes up next to me on the couch puts her hands under her chin and asks with the most serious face ever "What does kiss my ass mean?". At first I was shocked-I literally think my jaw dropped to the ground, and then I started laughing and then came the tears because it was the funniest thing I have ever heard. But as a mom,I was trying so hard to be serious about it, but I couldn't even talk to her to tell her it is a naughty word, so I told her to go ask dad. He saw me crying and couldn't keep a straight face either. Oh-What am I going to do with her?

Kyle has also started talking, thank goodness it isn't swear words. Besides momma and dada, he can say Blue (as in Blue's Clues), Car (but he says it Caaaaaarrrrrr, and he can go vroom, vroom, his newest one is when he wants to watch Elmo, he sings La, La, La. So dang cute.

We have had a very busy July, here are a few of my favorite pics from the past few weeks.

Who wouldn't want to cool off at the splash park when it is 110 degrees outside.

Taking a potty break in the middle of nowhere. We were headed to our family reunion near Kolob Resevoir, but we missed the turnoff and ended up over 45 miles away, and on the opposite mountain. That was fun! But it gave me a great layout idea for our scrapbook.

ALL BOY! If there is a puddle around he is in it and splashing everywhere.

Sorry, Steph and Ty-but how could I not share this fabulous picture!
