It is actually surreal to me that my baby boy is 5 years old. Kyle has been looking forward to this day for the last 364 days. He has been telling everyone he meets that he's almost 5 and that means he's a big kid now. This year Kyle had a hard time deciding what he wanted on his cake, first it was Sonic, then Ninjago, then Power Rangers. Every single day since Christmas it has changed, but when we went to pick out his cake he saw a Power Ranger and that made his decision for him. The store wanted like $25 bucks for the cake and overlay, so I opted to just pay for the cake and then buy toys he can actually play with on top. He loved it and can't believe he got 3 new toys from the cake store to keep...what he doesn't know can't hurt him, right?
Kyle has a new found obsession with the Jazz, and was in heaven when he got a new Jazz jersey from mom and dad. The Jazz were actually playing during his party and he was pretending to dribble all over the house and making swishing sounds. Justin LOVES that Kyle is obsessed with basketball and can't wait for next year when he can start Jr. Jazz.
Kyle's cute pre-school teacher made him the king of the day at school and he proudly wore the crown to dinner at Applebee's that night.
I've bribed Kyle to let me take some 5 year old pictures of him last weekend and I love how they turned out. Looking at these pictures make me miss those adorable chubby cheeks he had when he was a baby.
This was Kyle's favorite location, he kept looking behind him at the view of the "whole entire city".
Kyle has really started to learn how to write his letters the past few months and to my surprise he is a lefty (which grandpa Jeff is so excited about). I love that Kyle is still a total cuddle bug, and he tells me every night "I love you the mostest in the whole wide galaxy". Happy Birthday my little man!
