So instead of pre-eclympsia with this baby my body has decided play its chances with pre-term labor. I was in full blown labor for 5 1/2 hours last night. It was the most horrible and painful thing that I have ever been through. Luckily the stupid contractions weren't making me dialate...Thank goodness. But I was miserable. It started with just horrible pain in my back, and we now think she was laying weird and maybe pinching a nerve near my spine, which caused me to be in so much pain that I started throwing up, and every time I would throw up it caused me to go into a full blown contraction-not just little Braxton Hicks contractions, but full blown horrible ones. We got them to spread out from 3 minutes to 5 minutes and that's about where they stayed for the next 3 hours. Finally they decided that my body was just so tense that I couldn't physically relax enough to stop the contractions, mostly because they were so close together. So a couple pills later and about 2 more hours of contractions and my body finally decided to stop. I am just thankful that the contractions didn't do anything. But they did force her to drop, and I lost over 2 pounds yesterday from being so sick. So much for all that hard work I put into gaining weight this month.
I feel like I went through war today, but overall I feel so much better. I honestly don't even remember Alexis' labor being that painful. Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed that I can make it 8 more weeks. I was so freaking scared yesterday because I'm only 28 weeks and that's pretty much the earliest that they say a baby can survive. Luckily she was just dancing all over the place last night and she just starting moving again today so I know she's alright. Funny thing is my blood pressure stayed perfect the whole time.
(I do have lots of fun new pictures, but they have to wait for another day when I have a little more energy)
