1st Day of Kindergarten

Alexis was so excited to start school this year, but when the day came, she realized she was little more anxious than excited. She was excited to wear her new school clothes (oh, and I'm not allowed to buy her clothes unless she is with me anymore-its Alexis' new rule, because I pick out "babyish" clothes, not cool funky clothes. Doesn't that sound like something a teenager would say?) I did managed to get her to pose for a couple of pictures, but she just wasn't going to smile for me, she said she would pick the smile she wanted for her pictures.

When we got to school she was very apprehensive about going to class, and had such a sad look on her face...
but that sad look when away the second she saw the awesome toys they have on the kindergarten playground. After a few rounds of this crazy turtle shell toy, she was ready to go to class and loved every minute of it. She even volunteered me to help with anything and everything the teacher said she needed parents for-leave to my little girl to be the outspoken one of the class. She has testing today and then officially starts on Monday and now she can't wait to go back!

With all the changes going on in Alexis life, we can't leave my little man out. Kyle just melts my heart, he is growing up way too fast, I honestly can't believe that this is the same little baby I held in the hospital wondering if he would make it through the night. Now, 2 1/2 years later Kyle is just a ball of energy and a boy in every way. He loves to make sound effects for his toys, just the other day he was flying Buzz through the airing making airplane noises (which are already better than the sounds effects I can make) and saying "To Infinity and Beyond". He is becoming a little independent one and knows exactly what he wants (like Cars Snacks, or Fishy Treats, or his Buzz shirt). But my personal favorite is when he pretends to be asleep and makes the funniest snoring sound and squints his eyes closed then just bursts into laughter when you catch him. Kyle has been a little slower at talking then Alexis was (only because he went for 6 months without hearing anything, so he's a little behind) but everyday is learns handfuls of new words. My personal favorite is when he says "luve whew momma" and to hear him repeating everything Alexis says-the good and the bad, and then I will look over to see him give her a hug and a kiss. They are so cute together! I love watching them grow up, but I just wish time would slow down.
